Editors’ Role

Editorial Team: Purpose and Responsibilities

The Editorial Team is responsible for maintaining the JMIS’s academic quality, editorial integrity, and scholarly standards. It oversees the evaluation and peer review of manuscripts, supports fair and timely editorial decisions, ensures compliance with publication ethics and research integrity principles, and contributes to the Journal’s academic development, reputation, and long-term growth.

Deputy Editor:

The Deputy Editor supports the Editor-in-Chief in managing the Journal’s editorial operations, coordinating manuscript evaluations and peer review, monitoring editorial quality, and assisting with policy implementation and strategic development. The Deputy Editor may act on behalf of the Editor-in-Chief when assigned and helps ensure timely and consistent editorial decisions.

Associate Editor:

Associate Editors oversee manuscripts within their areas of expertise, conduct preliminary editorial assessments, identify suitable reviewers, coordinate the peer review process, and provide recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief or Deputy Editor. They also monitor revisions and help maintain the academic and ethical standards of the Journal.

Editorial Board Members:

Editorial Board Members provide subject-specific expertise and contribute to the Journal’s academic direction and development. They may review manuscripts, recommend qualified reviewers, advise on editorial matters, promote the Journal within relevant scholarly communities, and support efforts to maintain high standards of research integrity and publication quality.
